There are so many great places for a photoshoot around central Ohio that it was insanely difficult to narrow this list down to just five locations! I ranked them from my personal experience, so this list might be different if you ask someone else. What I experience may not be the same for other photographers.
Walnut Woods Columbus, Ohio
The trails in this park are absolutely gorgeous, and the pine trees make for an excellent backdrop, especially in the wintertime.
Inniswood Metro Gardens, Columbus Ohio
If you like florals and want a variety of images, Inniswood is perfect (as long as you don’t go during prom season). Here are some photos that I’ve taken at different seasons at the park!
Ariel Foundation Park, Mount Vernon, Ohio
If you are craving something a little different I recommend Ariel Foundation Park. Especially if you enjoy climbing or hiking.
Alum Creek Delaware, Ohio
I could honestly go on forever about how great Alum Creek is! It’s another great place to get a variety of different looks. Pictures on the sand will give you an airy beach-y feel and the trails and grassy areas provide some beautiful landscapes. This is honestly one of my favorite locations because you can do so much with it!
Downtown, Delaware, Ohio
Another one for those that like a rustic feel and love to go in and peek at the different shops. Delaware has so much to offer for not only shoppers, but photographers as well.
Honorable Mention: Sutton Beach in Apple Valley, Ohio
I debated putting this one on here because Apple Valley is technically Private, but the views are really something. If you are ever invited to Sutton Beach I highly recommend taking advantage of it!
Honorable Mention: Gallant Woods, Delaware, Ohio
This one is for those of you who are looking for a more “country” vibe to your photos. The trails are perfect for getting those beautiful shots at golden hour in the tall grass and if you make your way over to the Barn you get an even more “Rustic” feel.
