Hi everyone! I just have a few updates I would like to share with you and I didn’t want to cram it into one post.
Some things have been going on behind the scenes and I would like to keep you all in the loop. There are some big changes happening to my business and I am so excited to share them with you!
First, I want to talk about mini sessions.
Landon + Ava
here are the two sweetest little subjects you will ever ask for! Landon and Ava.
I went into this session knowing it would be my last themed mini session (yes, you read that right, no more Spring/Fall/Winter minis.) and I could not have asked for better subjects. These two were so sweet and took direction very well. They were a little nervous but once we broke the ice I got some very sweet and genuine smiles from them.
I wish I had time to get to know them more. This is why I am no longer going to be offering mini sessions. I feel like it doesn’t give me enough time to get to know the person on the other side of the lens. I want to build a connection and five to fifteen minutes is not enough time for that. I also just don’t like doing them, I think the setup and props are fun, but they take away from the subjects.
Another change happened in the first week of October. I found something I am really passionate about and that is School Photography.
I loved meeting all these little ones and helping their personalities come through in these photographs. Working with them was probably the most fulfilling thing I have done since I opened my business. I have already booked with another school, but in 2023 I intend to pivot my focus to mostly school photography and consider families and seniors as my “side gig”. I will only be opening up a certain number of dates for 2023 for families and seniors so please be on the lookout for my calendar coming soon.
Another exciting change is that I have finally found a print lab I am happy with so I now have package options for my prints! I am very excited to work with this Lab as they offer so many amazing prints and extras.
Finally, I would like to announce that I am 99% booked for 2022. If you would like to schedule a session for November or December please do so now as I only have three spots left. 🙂
